Miss Holly Desprez Hewitt, Owner, Director, choreographer and Teacher started her dance career at age 3 in Wichita Kansas. Since then she has trained, taught and performed with Monique School of Dance for 15 years while traveling throughout the United States and Europe. After earning her degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota, she taught and performed with Club Med Vacations in Sand Piper Florida. Miss Holly has taught several workshops at local dance schools and colleges as well as serving as a judge for dance auditions. She has successfully developed, taught and staged the Minnesota Valley Family YMCA's dance program, 1998 through 2000; while holding the position as Fitness Director. Miss Holly holds the prestigious Dance Educators of America Certification, which she received in July of 2004, and is still an active member at present day. She passed her written, verbal and demonstration exams in the 98th percentile. Miss Holly has over 20 years of teaching experience in Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Character and Jazz. She has over 30 years of performance experience. Miss Holly opened Holly's Centre Stage Dance on May 20, 2000. Since then she has expanded her studio three times to accommodate the growing number of students. This last expansion includes a brand new state of the art 12,000 square foot facility!
Miss Holly's teaching style is very uplifting, energetic, patient and fun! With these important qualities come class structure, professionalism and respect. Teaching dance to children and adults has always been Miss Holly's love and passion. She is so excited to bring her lifelong dream to life in Downtown Lakeville and share it with you!
Miss Cole started her dance career at age 3. She has an extensive background in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, High Kick, Pointe, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. Miss Cole has performed and competively danced with various dance studios in Minnesota and with her High School Dance Team. She became Dance Team Captain and Dance Team Choreographer for her High School. Miss Cole has received awards for All Conference, MVP and Best Dancer of the year. Miss Cole is very excited to teach all of our new Competition DanceTeams this year. She has been performing for the past 19 years and this will be her sixth year professionally teaching. Miss Cole also has a special place in her heart for her Adaptive Dance Class. She says she is very priviledged and honored to be able to teach this special dance class for kids with disabilities for the third year. Miss Cole has an extremely smiley, positive, and energetic teaching personality.
Miss Kara started dance at the age of 3 and has loved it ever since. She studied ballet, modern, jazz, and lyrical throughout her school years and into college. At the Univeristy of Nebraska she participated in the dance troup and has danced professionally in productions in her home state of Nebraska. After taking time off to have a family, Miss Kara got the dancing bug again and started taking classes at Holly's Centre Stage Dance and is thrilled to be teaching our young dancers. This is Miss Kara's third year teaching at Holly's Centre Stage Dance. Miss Kara has a very patient, loving, nurturing teaching personality. She already has quite the following of little ballerina's :)
